Demonstration seminar on "Method of preparation and application of Jeevamrite and bokashi"

A demonstration seminar on "Method of preparing and applying jeevamrite and bokashi" was organized at the "Artikbay Tumalok" farm in the territory of the Naymankol Rural Citizens' Assembly of Takhiatash district as part of the "Agriculture 100 Innovative Initiatives" project. The seminar was attended by specialists from the AKIS Center of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, scientists from the M. Mirzayev Karakalpak Research Institute of Horticulture, Viticulture and Winemaking, specialists from the district's agriculture department, and farmers and dekhkans. At the seminar, the agro-consultant of Takhiatash, Khojeyli, and Nukus districts, Sh.Kamalov, demonstrated to farmers how to prepare "Jeevamrit and bokashi" using soil, water, sugar, manure, animal urine, and bio-fertilizers, and also provided information on the importance of jivamrit and bokashi in agriculture and methods of their application. During the seminar, the heads of dehkan and farmer households received answers to their questions.

Seminar on the work carried out in the field of horticulture in early spring

In March 2026, seminars were organized in all districts on the work carried out in early spring in the field of horticulture and nursery. During the seminars, detailed explanations were given on proper shaping of fruit trees, seasonal pruning, prevention and control of the spread of pests and diseases, fertilization with organic and mineral fertilizers, and effective methods of irrigation. Also, during the seminars, recommendations were given on further agrotechnical measures for preparing the land for planting seedlings, planting seedlings, and caring for young saplings.

A seminar on "Agrotechnical measures currently being implemented in grain fields sown for the 2026 harvest" was organized at the Barakali Sari Oltin farm in the Sari Oltin rural community of Qonliko'l district. The seminar was held with the participation of farmers of this region, and N.Nurimbetov, a specialist of the AKIS Center of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, gave recommendations to farmers on the state of winter wheat, the phase of development, the application of 35-40 percent of the annual rate of nitrogen fertilizers depending on the soil and climatic conditions of the region, additional fertilization, and further agrotechnical measures. During the seminar, scientifically based recommendations on winter wheat care developed by the AKIS Center of the Republic of Karakalpakstan in cooperation with research institutes were distributed to farmers.

Silk clusters will be provided with tax benefits.

According to the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 06.03.2026 No. PP-87, from January 1, 2026 to January 1, 2029:buildings and structures of sericulture clusters used for the production and storage of cocoons are exempt from property tax, as well as land plots occupied by them - from land tax;for silkworm breeding enterprises whose income from sericulture is not less than 70 percent of their total income based on the results of the current reporting (tax) period, the profit tax is set at 2 percent;for enterprises that have introduced the production of silk fabrics and finished silk products, the social tax is set at a rate of 1 percent. Also, from January 1, 2026, to January 1, 2029, the income of the population engaged in seasonal work on the procurement of silkworm eggs and the cultivation of cocoons in silkworm breeding houses, received from this activity, is not subject to income tax and social tax.

Recommendations were given to young people on growing crops in modern greenhouses.

In connection with the implementation of the "Action Plan" No. 01/26-2-221, approved by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan on December 13, 2025, a training seminar was held at "Ran-omad" LLC, located in the Shumanay district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, in order to increase the knowledge of young people about modern greenhouses and develop their entrepreneurial skills. At the training seminar, specialists of the Center for Agro-Services of the Republic of Karakalpakstan of the National Center for Knowledge and Innovation in Agriculture and scientists of the Karakalpak Republican Scientific-Experimental Station of the Research Institute of Vegetable, Melon Crops and Potatoes provided information and recommendations to young people on managing the microclimate (temperature, humidity) in greenhouse farms, sowing seeds and growing seedlings, drip irrigation and fertilization, vegetation management, methods of combating diseases and pests observed in greenhouses, smart and automated greenhouse technologies, greenhouse construction, growing tomatoes, cucumbers, seedlings and other vegetables, as well as their delivery to the market.

A training seminar was organized to improve the knowledge and skills of farms.

On January 20-21 of this year, a training seminar for the heads of farms of all districts was held at the Karakalpak Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies. The seminar was held under the leadership of the Chairman of the Committee on Agrarian, Water Management, Environmental Protection and Ecology of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, A. Zhumanazarov, and the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, A. Khalimbetov, with the participation of the AKIS Center of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, deputy khokims of the district for agriculture and water management, specialists of the district department of agriculture, and heads of farms. During the seminar, agricultural scientists and professors provided information on the cultivation of export-oriented agricultural products, quarantine requirements for export-oriented crops, storage, processing of crops, conclusion of contracts, and promotion to domestic and foreign markets. The discussion also touched upon the agrotechnical measures used in cotton cultivation, the application of non-traditional fertilizers, the characteristics of cotton harvesters imported to our region, and the requirements for machine harvesting.At the event, farms received answers to their questions and expressed their opinions.

SEMINARS ON THE CARE OF WINTER GRAIN WERE ORGANIZED

On January 2-4, 2026, in all districts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, under the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, with the participation of the director of the AKIS Center of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and district agricultural consultants, scientists of the Scientific and Production Association of Grain and Rice, demonstration training seminars were held for the heads of clusters, farms, and dehkan farms on the topic "Innovative agricultural technologies and irrigation regimes used in the cultivation of high yields of winter crops for the 2026 harvest in the districts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan."At the seminar, recommendations were given on the proper organization of grain cultivation, increasing yields, preparing lands for leaching, introducing water-saving technologies, and effectively using water resources through concreting irrigation networks. Also, the heads of farms, representatives of clusters, agricultural workers, and industry specialists were familiarized with practical proposals and best practices in field conditions, and explanations were given on the timely and high-quality implementation of agrotechnical measures.    

Intensive agricultural technologies will be widely implemented in cotton cultivation.

A Presidential Decree "On Additional Measures for the Use of Highly Effective Intensive Agricultural Technologies to Increase Cotton and Grain Yields" has been adopted (Decree No. PQ-370, dated December 9, 2025).According to the resolution, the main target indicators for 2026 are defined, including:increasing the yield in cotton growing by more than 50 centners and in grain growing to 100 centners as a result of the widespread introduction of modern intensive agricultural technologies;increasing cotton yields through the introduction of a new system based on scientific achievements and master-student traditions.Starting from the 2026 harvest:preferential loans are allocated for the cultivation of raw cotton with the application of a coefficient of 0.7 to the standard yield per 1 soil bonitet point (centner/ha). From November 24 to December 6, 2025, the Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel in the Agricultural Sector organized advanced training and retraining courses for employees of the Republican Center for Agricultural Services and its regional branches.   🔹M.Yusupov, Chief Specialist of Karauzyak District, and Sh.Kamalov, Chief Specialist of Khojeyli, Takhiatash, and Nukus Districts, actively participated in these training courses. ✓ the essence and content of regulatory legal acts adopted in the field, ✓ ongoing reforms and innovations, ▶️resource-saving equipment and technologies, They have mastered scientific and practical knowledge of crop cultivation agrotechnologies. In order to support animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, a seminar-training was organized to study the essence and significance of the adopted Presidential decrees and foreign experience.

Today, in the hall of the Karakalpakstan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies, a seminar-training was held for specialists and agronomic advisors of the Center for Agro-Services of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the Committee for Veterinary Medicine and Livestock Development of districts and regions on the topics "Zootechnics, veterinary medicine, growing fodder crops, proper feeding of livestock and analysis of feed quality" with the participation of representatives of the Uzbek-German program to inform the public about the benefits, goals and priority tasks defined by the resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 3, 2025 No. PP-334-XDFU and dated October 31, 2025.The seminar-training was organized with the participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Sh. Teshaev, deputy khokims of relevant ministries, committees and departments, and districts for agriculture and water management. At the seminar-training, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Sh.Teshaev first noted the benefits, goals, and priority tasks defined by the resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-334-XDFU dated November 3, 2025 and No. PP-322 dated October 31, 2025. He also noted the need for effective use of the opportunities created in the sphere, the introduction of innovative resource-saving technologies, and the study of foreign experience.Following this, Anton Van Engelen, Head of the Uzbekistan-Germany Climate-Resistant Agriculture Experts Dialogue Program, presented scientific reports on Zootechnics, Veterinary Medicine, Proper Livestock Feeding, and Feed Quality Analysis, and Saidahmad Sherimbetov, Chief Agronomist of the Program, presented scientific reports on fodder crop cultivation. At the end of the seminar, district specialists of the Committee for Veterinary Medicine and Livestock Development and district consultants of the AKIS of the Republic of Karakalpakstan received answers to their questions about foreign experience and innovations.

An Agricultural Insurance Fund will be created.

The Presidential Decree "On the Effective Organization of the Mechanism for Insuring Agricultural Risks" (No. UP-223 of November 21, 2025) has been adopted. (https://lex.uz/uz/docs/-7851947) According to the Decree, the main goals of implementing the agricultural insurance system are defined as: 🔹 Compensation for damage caused to plants and animals by natural and man-made disasters, fires, pests and diseases; 🔹 gradually increase the volume of agricultural production by 20 percent by 2030 and reduce the risks of agricultural producers. 📌 According to the Decree, an Agricultural Insurance Fund will be established. ✔️ Starting from 2026, agricultural producers will be gradually insured against the risk of product loss when using preferential loans for product cultivation. ️ Debts of clusters, farms, and other agricultural enterprises on preferential loans are not covered under the agricultural risk insurance contract. ✅ Also, by the end of 2025, the Agricultural Insurance Information System will be launched.

On November 1, 2025, a seminar was held at the Aksingul farm in the territory of the Altynkul rural community of the Kanlykul district on the "model field," organized in order to ensure the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 27, 2025 No. UP-10.The seminar was organized with the participation of specialists from the Center for Agro-Services of the Republic of Karakalpakstan of the National Center for Knowledge and Innovation in Agriculture, the head of the laboratory of the Scientific-Production Association of Grain and Rice U.Abillaev, the district agronomist-consultant N.Nurimbetov, and farmers, who were provided with information on the advantages of each wheat variety, the growing season, yield, feeding periods and rates, methods of combating diseases and pests. Also, scientifically based recommendations were given on the work carried out today (in November) in wheat cultivation.  During the seminar, farmers received scientifically based answers to their questions.  

Seminar on the development of beekeeping

On October 28, a demonstration seminar on "Development of Beekeeping" was organized at the bee-breeding complex of citizen Ametov Pulat, a resident of Tinchlik AFC, with the participation of industry specialists, farmers, and citizens. At the seminar, farmers and citizens were informed about the essence and significance of the Presidential and Government decisions on the development of beekeeping, preferential loans and subsidies. Recommendations were also given on the work being carried out today in beekeeping, feeding, protection from various pests and diseases, prevention, treatment, and successful overwintering. At the end of the seminar, farmers and citizens were given recommendations on bee care.

Seminar on seedling growing

The Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 14, 2025 No. PP-103 "On Measures for Further Improvement of the Family and Women Support System" provides for the organization of seminars in the field of agriculture for unemployed women registered in the Iron Notebook and the Women's Notebook on the formation of women's entrepreneurial skills. On October 25, in the Kegeyli district, under the leadership of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Chairperson of the Committee for Family and Women Z. Makhkamova, the Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan M. Akhmedova, the district khokim A. Kamalov, and specialists from the Center for Agro-Services of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, a scientific and practical seminar on mulberry growing, seedling growing, and seed production in agriculture was organized for unemployed women registered in the "iron notebook" and "women's notebook." At the seminar, officials familiarized themselves with the project for growing seedlings on an area of 5 hectares in the territory of the Kumshungil rural community and noted that the project is aimed at ensuring the employment of 25 women and creating a source of income for them. During the seminar, specialists of the AKIS Center of the Republic of Karakalpakstan gave recommendations on preparing the land for planting seedlings (irrigation, plowing, fertilization), preparing seedlings for planting, methods of planting and care. At the end of the seminar, recommendations on growing mulberry seedlings were distributed to women.

A seminar on the comprehensive development of livestock farming was organized with the participation of industry specialists and farmers.

On October 20, 2025, the AKIS Center of the Republic of Karakalpakstan organized a seminar with the participation of industry specialists and farmers on the comprehensive development of livestock farming at "Kausar Tegirmon" LLC in Takhtakupyr district. At the seminar, recommendations were given on the preservation, feeding, creation (accumulation) of a feed base, prevention of diseases, and timely vaccination of dairy cattle. Then the farmers were familiarized with the equipment used in the sterilization and pasteurization, homogenization, fermentation, and packaging processes in the milk and dairy production workshop. Information was also provided on preferential loans and subsidies allocated to farmers for the purchase of equipment used in the production of milk and dairy products. At the seminar, farmers received detailed answers to their questions regarding the comprehensive development of livestock farming and the production of milk and dairy products.

Areas of cooperation with foreign scientific organizations are being agreed upon.

On September 15, 2025, a round table on the topic "Prospects for Bilateral Cooperation (Russia-Uzbekistan) " was held at the UNDP project office in Karakalpakstan.The seminar was attended by heads and employees of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the Center for Agro-Services of the Republic of Karakalpakstan (AKIS), ANK "Donskoy" (Russia), VNIIMK (Russia) and local research institutes, where, along with measures aimed at increasing the potential of the agricultural sector in our republic, an exchange of views took place on the introduction of innovations and the improvement of crop cultivation technology.

A demonstration seminar on the preparation of Biochar and Jivamrite was held.

A field seminar on the preparation and application of Biochar and Jivamrit was held. ✅ On September 9, a demonstration field seminar on the preparation and application of Biochar and Jivamrit (liquid biofertilizer) was held at the experimental farm of the M.Mirzaev Research Institute of Horticulture, Viticulture and Winemaking, located in Kegeyli district. The seminar was organized with the participation of agricultural consultants and farmers from Chimbay, Kegeyli, and Nukus districts. 🔹At the seminar, specialists provided practical recommendations to farmers on the preparation and application of Biochar and Jivamrit. It was noted that these innovative approaches will greatly assist farmers in obtaining high-quality and high yields, reducing the use of chemical fertilizers, growing organic products, and increasing soil fertility. 🔹Following the seminar, farmers were given recommendations on the preparation and application of Biochar and Jivamrit.

Ensuring the implementation of the Presidential Decree

On September 5 of this year, in accordance with the relevant paragraph of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 10 dated January 27, 2025, a demonstration seminar on innovative technologies in horticulture was held on a standard field organized at the experimental farm of the Karakalpak Scientific Experimental Station of the Academic M. Mirzaev Research Institute of Horticulture, Viticulture and Winemaking, located in the Kegeyli district. At the seminar, specialists of the AKIS Center of the Republic of Karakalpakstan presented information on the essence and content of the Decree, the procedure for organizing standard fields, and the subsidy provided by the government for the development of horticulture. Also, in order to ensure the integration of science and production, areas of cooperation on the commercialization of high-quality seedlings and fruits were agreed upon. During the seminar, ITS specialists provided information on the condition of grape, apricot, and apple seedlings in the standard field, agrotechnical measures, and upcoming work on the implementation of the Decree. In addition, scientifically based recommendations were given for farmers on preparing the land for planting seedlings, planting seedlings, fertilizing, combating diseases and pests, and shaping fruit orchards. At the end of the seminar, farmers were given recommendations on the agrotechnical measures to be implemented in fruit orchards.

On September 4, specialists of the Center for Agro-Services of the Republic of Karakalpakstan visited the beekeeper E.Koshkarov farm in the Keneges rural community of Takhiatash district and got acquainted with the bee colonies being cared for. Specialists informed E. Koshkarov about the essence and significance of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 16, 2017 No. PP-3327 "On Measures for the Further Development of the Beekeeping Industry in the Republic," the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 12, 2023 No. 239 "On Additional Measures to Support the Beekeeping Industry and Pollination of Agricultural Crops with Bees." Recommendations were also given on the organization of beekeeping farms, the biology and anatomy of bee colonies, care, reproduction, technology for growing young queen bees, equipment, devices and devices used in beekeeping, the food base of bees, pollination of agricultural plants, production and storage of beekeeping products, as well as state standard requirements for them.

In our Center, Masters degree students undergoing scientific and professional practice.

Agricultural and Agro-Technological Institut of Karakalpakstan, the practice of preparing the master's thesis and research work specified in the curriculum of the 2nd year graduate students of the Master's Department "Agricultural Mechanization" between April 17 and June 25, 2023, was arranged between the Institute and the Center for Agricultural Services of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Master's students are doing internship based on the internship contract. During the internship, the head of the Center and its specialists closely support the graduate students in improving their scientific and practical knowledge.

A seminar was organized for farmers and dehkans on achieving cotton yields up to 50 centners.

Voitov, a working group of scientists headed by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, General Director of the National Center for Knowledge and Innovation in Agriculture Alisher Turaev, began its work in the Ellikkala region of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Professor of Tashkent State Agrarian University, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Usmon Norkulov made a presentation on increasing the yield of cotton through the use of agricultural technology and modern technologies.

On June 14, 2022, in cooperation with the Karakalpak Republican Center for Agro-Services, employees of the department of agriculture and scientists of the department, with the participation of more than 18 farms of the Nukus region, a scientific and practical training seminar was organized on «The water-saving technologies in the cultivation of rice in irrigated fields».
