The Presidential Decree "On the Effective Organization of the Mechanism for Insuring Agricultural Risks" (No. UP-223 of November 21, 2025) has been adopted. (https://lex.uz/uz/docs/-7851947)
According to the Decree, the main goals of implementing the agricultural insurance system are defined as:
🔹 Compensation for damage caused to plants and animals by natural and man-made disasters, fires, pests and diseases;
🔹 gradually increase the volume of agricultural production by 20 percent by 2030 and reduce the risks of agricultural producers.
📌 According to the Decree, an Agricultural Insurance Fund will be established.
✔️ Starting from 2026, agricultural producers will be gradually insured against the risk of product loss when using preferential loans for product cultivation.
️ Debts of clusters, farms, and other agricultural enterprises on preferential loans are not covered under the agricultural risk insurance contract.
✅ Also, by the end of 2025, the Agricultural Insurance Information System will be launched.
