On September 5 of this year, in accordance with the relevant paragraph of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 10 dated January 27, 2025, a demonstration seminar on innovative technologies in horticulture was held on a standard field organized at the experimental farm of the Karakalpak Scientific Experimental Station of the Academic M. Mirzaev Research Institute of Horticulture, Viticulture and Winemaking, located in the Kegeyli district.
At the seminar, specialists of the AKIS Center of the Republic of Karakalpakstan presented information on the essence and content of the Decree, the procedure for organizing standard fields, and the subsidy provided by the government for the development of horticulture. Also, in order to ensure the integration of science and production, areas of cooperation on the commercialization of high-quality seedlings and fruits were agreed upon.
During the seminar, ITS specialists provided information on the condition of grape, apricot, and apple seedlings in the standard field, agrotechnical measures, and upcoming work on the implementation of the Decree. In addition, scientifically based recommendations were given for farmers on preparing the land for planting seedlings, planting seedlings, fertilizing, combating diseases and pests, and shaping fruit orchards.
At the end of the seminar, farmers were given recommendations on the agrotechnical measures to be implemented in fruit orchards.
