On May 13, 2022, in cooperation with Center of Agricultural Services of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and scientists of the Karakalpak Research Institute of Farmers, with the participation of more than 20 farms of the Chimbay region, a scientific and practical training seminar was organized on the topic “Cultivation of cotton fields and the unification of cotton and other agrotechnical activities in the fields of cotton in the conditions of Karakalpakstan”. The seminar was opened by S.Shamshetov, informing the participants about the importance of preparing for the season of agricultural machinery and the timely implementation of agrotechnical measures. During the seminar, the participants from the scientists of the Institute were given evidence-based recommendations on agricultural technologies for growing cotton and agricultural technologies carried out after rainfall.
As a result of the seminar, director of the Center S.Shamshetov visited the biological laboratory at the Karakalpak Research Institute of Farmers and focused on and gave recommendations to farmers of the Chimbay region on the importance of using entomophages bred here (trichogramma, oltinkoz, bracon) against pests found in cotton and other agricultural crops.
