On January 20-21 of this year, a training seminar for the heads of farms of all districts was held at the Karakalpak Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies.
The seminar was held under the leadership of the Chairman of the Committee on Agrarian, Water Management, Environmental Protection and Ecology of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, A. Zhumanazarov, and the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, A. Khalimbetov, with the participation of the AKIS Center of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, deputy khokims of the district for agriculture and water management, specialists of the district department of agriculture, and heads of farms.
During the seminar, agricultural scientists and professors provided information on the cultivation of export-oriented agricultural products, quarantine requirements for export-oriented crops, storage, processing of crops, conclusion of contracts, and promotion to domestic and foreign markets. The discussion also touched upon the agrotechnical measures used in cotton cultivation, the application of non-traditional fertilizers, the characteristics of cotton harvesters imported to our region, and the requirements for machine harvesting.
At the event, farms received answers to their questions and expressed their opinions.
